Summer’s winding down—so it’s a great time to do a quick coverage check and a few safety updates.

Home & Liability

• If you have a pool, trampoline, or outdoor play area, review safety rules and confirm your liability coverage fits your household.

• Do a quick walk-around for summer slip/trip hazards (stairs, decks, outdoor paths).

Wildfire readiness (Oregon summer)

• Review what you’re covered for in a loss due to wildfire/smoke scenario (home, belongings, and any additional living expenses if you’re displaced).

• Make sure you have a plan for evacuation and consider keeping important documents/photos backed up or in a safe, accessible place.

Auto

• Before late-summer trips: check tires, lights, and wipers.

• Watch for kids, walkers, cyclists, and wildlife—and slow down if air quality or visibility is reduced due to smoke.

• If you added a driver/vehicle, changed how you use your car, or rent a vehicle occasionally, it may be worth reviewing your limits and endorsements.
